Privacy Policy

Qmunidad is a village management platform for Philippine residential subdivisions. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with Republic Act 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).

1. Information we collect

We collect information necessary to operate Qmunidad:

·Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) for developer, HOA admin, guard, and resident accounts.
·Village data: Resident names, block and lot assignments, and contact numbers entered by the HOA or developer.
·Visitor logs: Visitor names, purpose of visit, time in/out, and optional vehicle plate numbers logged by guards.
·Maintenance requests: Issue titles, descriptions, photos, and status updates submitted by residents.
·Announcements and documents: Content posted by HOA administrators.

We do not collect financial information, government IDs, or biometric data.

2. How we use your information

We use collected information solely to operate the platform:

·Authenticating users and enforcing role-based access
·Displaying village data to authorized users within the same village
·Sending in-app and push notifications related to your village activity
·Improving platform performance and fixing bugs

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of Qmunidad.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Data is shared only with the following infrastructure providers to operate the service:

·**Supabase** (database and authentication hosting)
·**Vercel** (application hosting)

Both providers are bound by their own data processing agreements and comply with international security standards.

4. Data storage and security

All data is stored on Supabase servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.2+.

Access to village data is restricted by Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. Users can only access data within their assigned village and role.

5. Data ownership

Village data belongs to the developer or HOA that manages that village. Qmunidad acts as a data processor on behalf of the data controller (the developer or HOA).

You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Data deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

6. Philippine Data Privacy Act

This policy is governed by Republic Act 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) of the Philippines. As a personal information processor, Qmunidad implements security measures consistent with the National Privacy Commission's guidelines.

If you have concerns about how your data is handled, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) at www.privacy.gov.ph.

7. Cookies

Qmunidad uses session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
